Palestinians protest outside Al-Shifa Hospital, call for urgent medical evacuations

Palestinian patients and their families gathered outside the Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza, urging Israeli authorities to lift restrictions on travel for those requiring urgent medical treatment abroad.

The demonstrators called for immediate medical evacuations, saying thousands of critically ill and wounded people remain unable to leave the Gaza Strip for specialised care.

According to Gaza health authorities, more than 20,000 patients and injured individuals are currently awaiting evacuation as Israel continues to impose strict limitations on crossings through the Rafah border, delaying access to life-saving treatment.
