Islamabad is set to host the 9th Ministerial Conference on Women of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation on July 12–13, with delegations from OIC member states arriving in the federal capital ahead of the two-day summit.
Held under the theme “Socio-Economic and Political Empowerment of Women in the OIC Countries: Challenges and Way Forward,” the conference aims to strengthen cooperation among member states on policies that promote women’s rights, inclusion and sustainable development.
Ministers and Global Delegates to Attend
The conference will bring together ministers responsible for women and family affairs, senior government officials, representatives of OIC institutions, international organizations and development partners.
Participants are expected to exchange views on the challenges facing women across the Islamic world and discuss practical strategies to enhance their participation in economic, social and political life.
