At least 14 Palestinians were reported killed in multiple Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip on Friday, according to Gaza’s civil defence agency and local medical officials, as violence continued despite an existing ceasefire agreement.
One of the deadliest incidents occurred in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, where officials said an Israeli drone strike hit a gathering of civilians in the Al-Balata market area.
Local authorities said eight people were killed in the strike, while more than 20 others were injured and taken to Al-Awda Hospital for treatment.
Witnesses told local media that the strike occurred as Palestinians gathered outside the Ahmad Yassin Mosque before the start of a funeral procession for a person reportedly killed in an earlier attack the same day.
The circumstances surrounding the incident could not be independently verified, and the Israeli military had not immediately commented on the specific allegations.
