Naqvi Meets Iranian President Pezeshkian in Tehran, Reaffirms Strong Pakistan-Iran Ties

TEHRAN: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Tehran, with the two sides discussing bilateral relations and regional stability, Iranian state media ISNA reported.

During the meeting, Naqvi described the relationship between Pakistan and Iran as “strong, long-standing and unbreakable”, reaffirming Islamabad’s commitment to further strengthening ties with Tehran.

The interior minister conveyed Pakistan’s serious determination and political will to pursue the comprehensive development of relations with Iran, according to the report.

President Pezeshkian said stronger Pakistan-Iran relations would serve the national interests of both countries and contribute to regional stability and security.

The meeting comes amid heightened tensions in the Middle East and continued diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation in the region.

Pakistan has consistently emphasized the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in resolving regional conflicts, while maintaining close historical and diplomatic ties with neighboring Iran.

The visit by Naqvi is expected to reinforce bilateral engagement and provide further momentum to cooperation between Islamabad and Tehran on regional security and other matters of mutual interest.
