Google Unveils Pixel 11 Series With Bigger Storage and New Design

Google has officially unveiled its Pixel 11 lineup, introducing the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold with upgrades focused on design, durability, display technology and storage.

The new flagship smartphones are designed to compete directly with premium devices from Apple and Samsung, while addressing feedback from previous Pixel users.

Pixel 11 Gets a Slimmer Camera Bar

The standard Pixel 11 features a redesigned camera bar that is reportedly more than 40% thinner than the previous generation.

Google has also changed the phone’s rear design, replacing the earlier look with a single piece of glass extending across the back, giving the device a cleaner and more streamlined appearance.

The Pixel 11 features a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, offering smoother scrolling and animations.

The phone will be available in Frost, Hibiscus, Pistachio and Obsidian finishes.

Storage Doubled to 256GB

One of the biggest changes across the new Pixel lineup is the increase in base storage.

The Pixel 11 series now starts with 256GB of storage, double the previous standard capacity. The additional space gives users more room for high-resolution photos, videos, applications and other files.

However, the storage upgrade comes alongside a higher launch price.

Pixel 11 Price Increased

The standard Pixel 11 starts at $899, representing a $100 increase over its predecessor.

Google is positioning the higher price alongside the phone’s increased storage, updated design and other hardware improvements.

The Pixel 11 Pro XL starts at $1,099 and features a larger 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display.

Larger Battery in Pro XL

The Pixel 11 Pro XL comes equipped with a 5,115mAh battery, while the standard Pixel 11 Pro features a 4,850mAh battery.

Google has continued to focus on efficiency rather than dramatically increasing battery capacity across its flagship range.

The Pixel 11 Pro XL will be offered in Canyon, Fog, Olive and Obsidian, with the Obsidian variant featuring an all-matte finish.

Improved Durability

Google says the new Pixel models have also been designed to better withstand everyday use.

The company claims its updated protective coating provides more than twice the scratch resistance of the previous Pixel 10 Pro.

The durability improvements are intended to make the devices more resistant to everyday scratches and wear.

Pixel 11 Pro Fold Also Joins the Lineup

The new generation also includes the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, Google’s latest foldable flagship.

The foldable model features Google’s new Tensor G6 chip and a slimmer design, further expanding the company’s presence in the premium foldable smartphone market.

Pre-orders for the Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold are now open, with retail availability expected to begin on August 20.
