Pakistan spinner Abrar Ahmed has achieved a significant milestone in his international career, climbing to second place in the latest ICC Men’s T20 International bowling rankings. According to the updated data released by the International Cricket Council, Abrar moved up one position to claim the second spot with 736 rating points, successfully overtaking India’s Varun Chakravarthy. Afghanistan’s star spinner Rashid Khan firmly retains the top position in the global bowling standings with 753 rating points.
The latest ICC update highlights a strong showing for Pakistan across multiple categories. In addition to Abrar’s surge, national team opener Sahibzada Farhan maintained his third-place standing in the T20I batting rankings with 848 rating points. Meanwhile, young cricketer Saim Ayub held on to his third-place spot in the T20I all-rounders’ standings, trailing only Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza and India’s Hardik Pandya. Other notable Pakistani placements in the bowling category include Mohammad Nawaz at 12th, Salman Mirza at 20th, and Shaheen Shah Afridi holding the 30th spot.
