PM Shehbaz Sharif Departs for Iran to Attend Ali Khamenei’s Funeral

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has departed for Iran to attend the state funeral of the country’s late Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei. The visit reflects Pakistan’s diplomatic engagement with its neighboring country and comes after an invitation from the Iranian government. The prime minister is leading a high-level delegation during the visit.

Following his visit to Iran, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to travel to Türkiye for meetings with senior Turkish officials, including discussions on regional security, trade, and economic cooperation. The multi-country tour is expected to further strengthen Pakistan’s diplomatic and strategic partnerships in the region.
