PTI Leader Adnan Gandapur Arrested After Bail Rejected in Police Assault Case

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) local leader Adnan Gandapur was arrested in Dera Ismail Khan after a court rejected his interim pre-arrest bail in a case involving alleged assault on a police officer and obstruction of official duties. Following the court’s decision, police took him into custody and transferred him to the Cantt Police Station for further legal proceedings.

According to the police, the incident occurred after officers attempted to carry out legal action in an official matter. Investigators allege that Adnan Gandapur arrived at the scene with several unidentified individuals, slapped the on-duty police officer, tore his uniform, damaged his mobile phone, and interfered with government work. These allegations form the basis of the criminal case against him.

The case was heard by Additional Sessions Judge Khalid Mansoor, who dismissed Gandapur’s pre-arrest bail plea and ordered his immediate arrest. Authorities say the investigation will continue in accordance with the law, while the PTI leader will face further court proceedings related to the charges.
